Bullard Bollards designed and delivered a bespoke hydraulic security bollard system for The Peninsula’s vehicle entrance. Each bollard rises and lowers on command via a hydraulic system — allowing authorized vehicles through while maintaining a closed, secure perimeter at all other times. The integrated red LED ring communicates status clearly without additional signage or infrastructure.
The finish was customized to match the hotel’s material palette — a dark, refined tone that reads as architectural rather than industrial. Constructed from stainless steel, the units are built to withstand both the mechanical demands of daily usage and the environmental conditions of an active city-center location.
Fixed bollards protect a perimeter. Hydraulic bollards protect it while allowing controlled access — the right choice for any property that receives authorized vehicles regularly but cannot afford unrestricted entry. Hotels, embassies, government buildings, and high-value retail are the natural application: environments where security and hospitality have to coexist without one compromising the other.
