Recessed ceiling downlight over a stairwell at night

Light from Above.

Two ways to mount, one collection. Recessed disappears into the ceiling; surface stays visible and becomes part of the room’s design. The choice is set by ceiling depth, coordination, and whether the fixture should be seen at all.

Collection Range

Recessed ceiling luminaire mounting

Recessed

  • Sits flush with the ceiling — only the trim ring and lens are visible
  • Requires ceiling depth, which needs to be planned before the ceiling is finished
  • Framed trim is the simpler install; trimless gives a fully flush result
Surface ceiling luminaire mounting

Surface

  • Mounts directly to the ceiling — the full housing stays visible
  • Requires no cavity, making it the simpler choice for retrofits
  • The housing itself functions as part of the room’s design

What sets us apart

Vertical Integration

Running the full process in-house — tooling, casting, machining, electronics, and finishing — rather than distributing it across outside subcontractors delivers three concrete advantages:

Get Specification Support
Vertical integration detail 01

Machined flange, reamed bolt holes, and a seated gasket — tolerance and finish quality visible in a single frame.

Vertical integration detail 02

Cutting our own tooling in-house means no waiting on an outside toolmaker between order and first unit.

Vertical integration detail 03

Hundreds of housings from one mold — dimensional repeatability is what holds a spec to the five-hundredth unit.

Dimensions & Mounting

Recessed fixtures need coordination before the ceiling is finished. Get these decisions in early.

  • Recessed cutout size is model-specific — confirm it before drywall goes up, since an incorrect cutout means the fixture won’t sit flush
  • Trimless finishes require the ceiling material to be worked directly up to the fixture body, with no trim ring to cover the edge — flag this to the ceiling crew early
  • Surface models mount to a base plate or junction box, with no cutout to plan for
  • A shallow ceiling cavity doesn’t rule out recessed fixtures — the remote driver option relocates the driver, keeping the fixture body slim

Questions & Answers

Recessed suits ceilings with enough depth above the surface for the housing, and is the right choice when the fixture should be read as part of the architecture rather than an added element. It requires more coordination during construction, since the cutout and cavity have to be planned before the ceiling is finished. Surface mount is the easier retrofit option, since it doesn’t require cutting into the ceiling structure, and works well when the fixture itself is meant to be part of the visual design rather than hidden.

A framed recessed fixture has a visible trim ring around the aperture, which simplifies installation and covers minor imperfections in the cutout. A trimless fixture sits flush with the finished ceiling with no visible ring, giving a cleaner architectural look, but it requires the ceiling finish (plaster or drywall) to be worked precisely around the fixture body, so it needs closer coordination with the ceiling contractor.

Yes. DALI is supported across the collection for addressable, zone-based control, and remote driver configurations are available where the driver needs to sit away from the fixture for accessibility or space reasons.

Untreated polymer lenses can yellow or cloud over time when exposed to UV light, which dims output and shifts the color of the light. The anti-UV technopolymer lens is formulated to resist that degradation, keeping output and color consistent over the fixture’s service life.

Select models are rated for covered outdoor applications — porticos, canopies, and similar sheltered spaces. Always check the individual product’s spec sheet for its specific IP rating before specifying it for exterior or exposed use, since ratings vary by model. IP66 is common on the recessed collection’s higher-performance models.

3000K and 4000K are the standard CCT options across most of the collection, covering both a warmer residential/hospitality tone and a cooler, more neutral commercial tone.

Extruded EN AW-6060 T5 is used where a fixture needs a straight, consistent profile, and offers high resistance to oxidation. Die-cast EN AB 44100 is used where the housing needs a more sculpted or precise shape, and is likewise highly oxidation-resistant. Both are chosen for long-term durability rather than cost alone, and some fixtures combine both in a single housing.

Output starts as low as 1W for compact accent fixtures and scales up to 6W and beyond for models built for general room illumination — so wattage should be matched to whether the fixture is doing accent work or providing the primary light source for a space.

Most models integrate the driver into the fixture body. Remote driver configurations are available on select models, which is useful where the ceiling cavity is too shallow for an integrated driver, or where the driver needs to be accessible for service without opening the fixture itself.

Yes. A 5-year warranty is standard across the collection.
